Workforce Development
Available Spring 2025
Workforce Development is an online course and accompanying book designed to help leaders and stakeholders understand the national workforce development system and implement it in states, regions, and local areas. The online course and book will be available in Spring 2025.
Dr. Justin Arnold
Dr. Justin Arnold has been a transformational leader in workforce development since 2002. He has worked across sectors to equip leaders and impact regions.
Lived Experience
As a teen, Dr. Arnold faced the same barriers as millions of others: family court, foster care, high school dropout, incarceration, homelessness, and trauma.
Community Education
At 20 years old, Dr. Arnold joined a community-based organization, learned how to overcome barriers, and helped others with mentoring, training, and networks.
Advanced Training
At 28, he went to college and worked towards a BS in Public and Nonprofit Administration, an MS in Corporate Training, and a PhD in Workforce Development.
Regional Economies
While a student, he consulted across sectors and learned that prosperity is linked to capacity building, leadership development, and economic growth.
Workforce Boards
Now the Director of a Workforce Development Board, Dr. Arnold works within the federal WIOA system to transform communities and lead collective impact efforts.
